Can we talk about Terezi for a second? 

“Now why in the world could such an awesome person end up like this? i am so dissapointed!1!”

here’s how:

She had put up with so much and SERIOUSLY ??!!!??!

Why is it that no one seems to remember HOW MUCH she’s suffered and everything she’s done for the entire group and the sessions!???

Terezi has been the one suffering in the dark for a long time. She’s been trying to keep the group together for so long and I don’t think a lot of people realize that she’s one of the most amazing homestuck characters AND SHE STILL IS.

I guess she’s like kind of like roxy in that respect

Who has been trying to keep everyone together up till now? can we go though a few things?

At the beginning, she left her best friend. 

and no, not because she wanted to— because she had to. Terezi had been turning a blind eye to the little things for a long while before, but this time Vriska had done something unforgivable. She abandoned her best friend to uphold her principles and to do the right thing. It would’ve been all to easy to stay as always, but she drew the line. This isn’t something that’s just going to hurt Vriska, not enough people realize how hard it would’ve been for Terezi.

and NOT ONLY is leaving crazy painful, but she had to deal with Vriska still being around to pester her, not knowing whether or not Vriska was sincerely sorry each time. she couldn’t just GIVE her the benefit of the doubt anymore no matter how much she wanted to- it wouldn’t have been just. Her best friend used up more chances than she deserved.

And VRISKA KNEW THIS!

of course we know in the end that she was sincerely sorry MAKING IT ALL THE MORE FREAKING TRAGIC DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT SHE HAD TO KILL HER BEST FRIEND RIGHT UPON DISCOVERING THAT ALSO VRISKA HAD THOUGHTFKDLS;AJFSDA)

imagine having to live with that you not only had to kill your best friend immediately after discovering her true intentions, but that the only time your best friend deserved your trust, you COULDN’T give it to her??!

I’m going to leave this part at that because there’s SO MUCH to Terezi and Vriska’s relationship—TOO MUCH to explore hereESPECIALLYTHATPART. Talk about the Scourge Sisters another time.

Let’s not forget that during all this (yes, at the SAME TIME)  She was in an unhappy/unhealthy red relationship with Karkat. A relationship which, might i remind you, KARKAT KNOWS was one where he made it incredibly difficult for her. I have a huge amount of respect for Terezi for leaving. How can somebody make such a responsible decisions whilst dealing with everything she had to deal with at the time? She obviously still has strong feelings for him, and so does he, but the insecurities were obviously too much for the kids to maintain a happy redrom.

Recall:

during this time she was also encouraging Dave/ helping him do some PRETTY IMPORTANT THINGS for their session  

Terezi has been keeping everyone together and contributing to game more than A LOT of the other characters, and she’s been doing it without letting her own problems out. 

She’s also been keeping it up without anyone to console her or even notice what she’s doing.

She carried all her problems and everyone else’s problems WHILE accumulating more pain AND ADVANCING THE GAME.

the meeting with the ancestors obviously was the tipping point for her and that was when she was clearly FINALLY on a downward spiral to shittown. A fall which was SO OVERDUE

so guess who was the first step down the stairs? 

Gamzee. Someone who she already had interest in for a while, but she knew better than to mess with him before, but now this girl has been beat down! and honestly who else, even in hs, could’ve lasted that way as long as she did?

I’m not asking you to feel sorry for Terezi by shoving all this in your face, but characters have ups and downs.

Why are you upset with Terezi for being a person

She’s STILL amazing!.

people are actually allowed to have more to them than just one side of awesome??!

Project Name: Caledscratch - More Than a Prop Build

Background: This project took me little over 3 months totalling 200+ hours of build time making it one of the most time consuming of all my projects. It features a functional DJ mixer with 4 amplified speakers in which is all powered by a 12V lead acid battery. This prop weighs roughly 23 lbs.
